My Approach
My Story
Since from an early age I saved money. I had an uncle who used give me some coins when I was a child and I loved to fill in my “pig bank” with coins that was in the shape of a dog head. I had my first job at the age of 16 in a shoe shop and since one of my dreams was to go to London I started saving for my trip. My parents did not have much money so I realised from an early age that if I want something I would have to work and save for it.
At the beginning, living in London was not easy. I had to study and work to pay for my living expences so money was tight. I had to manage and budget my finances.
When I went to the University I was already working part time so instead of spend my student loan I decided to I invest it in funds. I didnt understand anything about funds at the time but I thought it was a good idea. As soon as I left University, I got a job as an assistant in publishing and since I was recieving a “salary” I thought rather than pay rent it was better to buy a property. House prices at the time in the UK were still affordable but not the area I wanted to live specially with my low salary. So I decided to buy in a not so popular area. That was the best investment I did in my life as in 5 years my property double its price and I sold it and bought another one in a better area.
Whilst working I always used to live with just 70% of my salary and save the rest and rented a room in a flat to help me pay the mortagage.
All these has enable me achieve a minimum wage to live and not work if I wanted to.
I have then realised that there are a lot of people out there that really struggle with managing and budging their finances and with my experience and knowledge I can help them.
I made it my mission to help and empower others to see that money management really doesn’t have to be as complicated and mysterious as we’re often lead to believe. There are simple and effective strategies to better manage our money, allowing us to avoid the stress resulting from money mismanagement while feeling secure about your financial future at the same time.
